I decided to take on the task of transforming Ed Panopio's beautiful 2D concept into 3D. My goal was to capture the character's essence while infusing my own unique style into the mix. This project provided the perfect opportunity to improve my skills in hard surface modeling, texturing, and grooming. To be completely transparent, I must admit that I wasn't entirely satisfied with the final result, which was a big learning moment for me. In the end, it wasn't just about the technical aspects of the project that I gained, but also the invaluable experience of seeing it through to the end. I hope other artist can gain from this and give them just a tiny bit more of a reason to "finish" their projects.
Huge thanks to Jason Hill for all the help and talking me off many ledges throughout this project.
